The War Memorial Library in Hudson is a non-profit registered charity providing a subscription library of printed and digital materials, primarily in the English language, to the residents of Hudson, Quebec and surrounding communities.Operated by volunteers, the Library is self-financing through membership fees, donations and fund raising activities. The Library in turn donates, to local charities, funds in excess of its own needs.The building and the Library serve as a memorial to those in Hudson who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Murder Ink - Peter Kirby

Peter Kirby was born in Ireland and grew up in South London. He came to Canada as a cook and quickly came to love Montreal like no other place. He attended Concordia University at night, and then McGill where he worked as a breakfast cook from 5.30-11:00 a.m., and then went to law classes. He now practices international law in one of Canada's largest law firms and in 2012 was recognized by The American Lawyer as one of Canada's leading 500 lawyers.
His previous books are The Dead of Winter and Vigilante Season which the library has in its collection as well as his most recent Open Season.
